Summary
The Implementation Manager will deliver excellence in developing solutions for the kitting business (customer procedural tray – CPT and minor procedure kits and trays - MPKT) by working with customers and internal teams by responding to market and customer needs while delivering value to the customer and O&M. This position is customer facing business support role accountable for managing the development of and changes to the kitting business by providing CPT/MPKT support, identifying solutions to fit customer specifications, pricing and samples that are aligned with the kitting strategy to ensure a competitive pricing. The position will report to the Director, Implementation Kitting (CPTs, MPKTs, Services, Technology) and is accountable for understanding and managing all aspects of the external customer kitting preferences, acts as the spokesperson locally when required, and works cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver a profitable and seamless service.
Core Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Commercial team and Product specialists to align on the clinical needs/ practices of the customers with the selection of components for the CPTs/MPKTs to deliver a competitive offering
- Collaborate with Sourcing and Production planning teams to pro-actively substitute components in CPTs/MPKTs to resolve and avoid potential backorders due to material shortages.
- Support quoting of new and existing business
- Partner with Marketing and Strategy Kitting & Surgical Solutions CPT/MPKT planning to ensure quotes, product related information and samples are available within the requested timeframe
- Lead projects for with customers & internal Products, Marketing, and Implementation teams to ensure good partnerships
- Become key technical specialist in the organization for all key components within CPTs/MPKTs while keeping the function Manager informed of important team work activities and challenges.
- Ensure that all deadlines are met as defined and agreed upon in a project plan and support the team to overcome barriers to remain on track.
- Be the expert on CPT/MPKT process handling and initiate process improvements where identified to drive efficiencies and deliver value
- Manage and implement CPT/MPKT changes based on information from the Commercial team and provide the new BOM’s.
- Manage CPT/MPKT component search in order to provide alternative options, which are more cost efficient or functionally better
- Ensure on time set up of quotes
- Ensure ease of doing business with Commercial teammates through defining, standardizing, and controlling the decision-making process
- Work effectively with Account managers and Product Specialists
- Work with Customers to keep them informed regarding pack changes
- Interact daily with business leaders to meet specifications and deadlines
- Interact with Sourcing and Planning to meet supply demands and source cost effective components
- Act as the point of contact locally for team escalations when needed
Qualifying Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or related field with minimum 5 years prior experience required, and minimum 3+ years in Marketing required; MBA highly desirable.
- At least 3 years of product management or clinical OR practice experience
- At least 3 years project management leading complex projects
- At least 2 years of experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
- Ability to resolving issues, reconciling differences, offer systematic and creative problem solving
- Must have a flexible approach to work and be capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with and empathize with colleagues and customers from varied backgrounds and cultures
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
