Job Summary

The Production Line Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the operations of a production line to ensure efficient workflow, adherence to quality standards, and timely completion of production targets. This role involves supervising team members, resolving operational issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  •  Guide production operators to meet daily production targets.
  •  Assign tasks, monitor performance, and give feedback to team members.
  •  Cultivate a positive and collaborative work environment to improve team productivity.

Production Oversight

  • Ensure the production line operates efficiently and meets output targets.
  • Monitor workflow, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, quality) to resolve issues promptly.
  • Ensure all products meet quality standards and comply with specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality checks and address deviations or defects.
  • Train team members on quality procedures and best practices.
  • Enforce workplace safety regulations and ensure team adherence to PPE requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards on the production line.
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other process improvement initiatives.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of production output, downtime, and quality metrics.
  • Update Hour- to -Hour production reports, escalate to supervisor if not achieved.
  • Prepare and submit daily production reports to the supervisor/manager.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or ITI.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
    • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to motivate and lead a team effectively.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and move objects up to [weight limit, e.g., 25 kg].
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-temperature, or cleanroom environment (if applicable).
  • Ability to perform the work  Day/Night shifts, rotating shifts, or overtime.
