The Accountant is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and reporting the administrative and financial activities of the company or project. This role ensures proper financial planning, organization, documentation, reporting, and compliance with applicable regulations. The Accountant maintains accurate financial records, supports budgeting processes, manages treasury and banking operations, and prepares basic annual financial statements while conducting financial analysis to support management decision-making.

Job Description

Financial Administration & Recordkeeping

  • Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day financial and administrative operations.

  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.

  • Record financial data in accounting systems in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of financial and administrative documents.

  • Maintain efficient operational office procedures related to finance.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable transactions.

  • Ensure timely payments to suppliers and service providers.

  • Issue invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.

  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.

Treasury & Banking Operations

  • Execute treasury movements and manage cash flow.

  • Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis.

  • Monitor company bank accounts and ensure accurate recording of transactions.

  • Support cash management and liquidity planning.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Prepare and process tax settlements in compliance with applicable regulations.

  • Ensure timely submission of tax declarations and payments.

  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.

  • Maintain compliance with financial policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).

  • Assist in the preparation of basic annual financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement).

  • Support the preparation and monitoring of organizational budgets.

  • Ensure accuracy and reliability of financial data reported to management.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of annual and project budgets.

  • Track budget execution and report variances.

  • Conduct basic financial analyses to support management decision-making.

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations when required.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • 1–3 years of full-cycle general ledger accounting experience required.

  • Experience working in multi-entity environments, including intercompany transactions.

  • Experience with accounting software and MS Office (especially Excel).

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).

  • Experience preparing account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes.

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
