RSM, the First Choice Advisor to the middle market, has been experiencing tremendous growth across Canada.  RSM is currently seeking an experienced Consulting Partner to join our Financial Consulting Practice, with the unique opportunity to further capitalize on RSM’s market opportunity and develop, lead, and execute against a growth and Go-to-Market strategy for Canada. The Partner will collaborate and represent RSM’s Financial Consulting Practices, which includes services such as Finance Transformation, Outsourced Accounting, Technical Accounting, Forensic Accounting, Actuarial Services and Valuation Services among others.  This professional will use their industry knowledge, financial consulting experience, technical knowledge, and strong collaborative mindset to bring integrated services to the market and our clients.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead and execute against a multi-year growth strategy for Canada, consistent with Firm and North American Financial Consulting strategy
  • Possess a strong understanding of existing capabilities and depth of those capabilities to understand how we provide integrated, holistic solutions to our clients
  • Identify priority capability gaps and understand how those gaps are filled with respective leaders
  • Bring deep industry expertise to the Canadian marketplace, with Financial Services expertise preferred, though Life Sciences, Technology or Public sector expertise would also be valued
  • Drive business development efforts in Canada across Financial Consulting through deepening a growth mindset across our consulting team, marketing and sales strategies, thought leadership, webinars, white papers, proposals, and branding
  • Leverage an existing network of law firms, insurance companies, banks, corporate counsel, C suite executive relationships, audit committees, compliance officers, government agencies, regulators, and corporate boards to build a strong pipeline to revenue and greater market share in Canada
  • Lead Relationship Partner for strategic client accounts
  • Collaborate, coach and drive Business Development executives and other Lead Relationship Partners/leaders to execute on our growth strategy
  • Exemplify and enhance collaboration and integrated services across Financial Consulting and the Firm
  • Champion a mindset of client-centricity with a digitally-driven client experience
  • Navigate a global organization to serve global clients
  • Travel as needed


Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Previous experience in financial consulting Go-To-Market initiatives and strategy development across multiple disciplines and integrated solutions
  • Leadership experience with financial consulting teams in a matrixed organization
  • Proven track record of revenue growth from new clients, recurring client revenue and scope expansion with existing clients
  • Exceptional business development and sales results
  • Exceptional record of exceeding client expectations and delivering profitable engagements
  • Obtained recognition in professional organizations
  • Experience reporting into senior level executives
  • Recognized as an expert in one of the RSM Financial Consulting services, preferably technical accounting
  • Previous experience in serving global companies, with middle-market experience a plus.
  • Desired Credentials: CPA, CFE, ABV, or other relevant certification; Advanced degree preferred
