What you will do

  • Focus on planning and providing visibility to the plant regarding purchasing plans for upcoming months, calculating weekly purchase requirements, communicating supply status to local commercial and logistics teams, managing supplier relationships, and overseeing the order placement process.

  • Work under the supervision of the Supply Planning manager in setting correct levels of inventory (safety stocks) within the supply plan by understanding the demand volatility and supply chain lead times.

  • Tracking of the execution of the supply plan with production scheduling and buying ensuring that the plan is fully operationalized and tracked for performance deviation including mitigation on back orders and pro-active communication of future supply risks.

  • Develop and maintain detailed supply plans based on sales forecasts and historical data.

  • Provide visibility to the plant on purchasing plans for the upcoming months, ensuring alignment with inventory goals. Perform weekly calculations of purchase requirements to meet demand while optimizing inventory levels.

  • Communicate supply status to local commercial and logistics teams, ensuring they are informed of any changes or potential issues.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align on supply strategies and resolve any supply-related issues.

  • Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

  • Place Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on their status to ensure timely delivery and address any issues that arise. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply planning and procurement activities.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Spanish and English are mandatory.

  • Proven experience of 5 years in supply planning or a similar role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel

  • Experience with JDE ERP and Power BI

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
