Work Shift

Job Summary:


The incumbent will utilize advanced statistical knowledge in data management and analysis to support research and publication activities. Activities include collaborating on data collection methods, medical writing, and the application of appropriate statistical methods for data analysis. The intern will utilize statistical software to systematically analyze various types of data.


Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:


Perform data analysis and simulations on research and operational data sets. Provide written summary reports of findings and methods.
Conduct literature research in collaboration with research teams across the system. Utilize current literature to determine key components of the study design including power, sample size, etc.
Present project work to internal and external stakeholders. Provide recommendations on statistical significance, data extrapolation and conclusions.
Performs other duties as assigned
Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

    Required Minimum Experience:


    previous work experience or coursework in the use of software packages for data management and statistical analysis Required


    Required Minimum Skills:


    Proven clear and concise written and oral communication skills are essential.
    Uses effective presentation and meeting techniques (agendas, time management, etc.).
    Strong computer experience necessary.
    Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
    Ability to think logically and evaluate alternative solutions in problem solving required.
    Previous experience with SAS, SPSS, R or equivalent platforms required.
    Proven competency to work independently preferred.
