Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

The role will be responsible for leading the Business Infrastructure workstream, to ensure the business requirements unique to Velys Enabling Tech are documented and enabled as part of future ERP deployments. Including requirements for shared hardware, Capital, RUI, and SUI management, speed to market, and master data management. Additionally this role will lead the transition out of SAP Anspach into future state ERP solutioning.

Key Role Responsibilities

In accordance with all applicable federal, state and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

o   Lead development and validation of Business Infrastructure requirements across impacted business units, ensuring requirements are complete, prioritized, and traceable to business outcomes. Including optimization of financial and system flows where appropriate

o   Provide day-to-day project leadership for the workstream, ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk objectives.

o   Establish and maintain clear process controls, milestones, and performance metrics; produce regular, concise stakeholder updates and executive summaries.

o   Facilitate cross-workstream coordination to align priorities, surface dependencies, share learnings, and minimize rework across business units.

o   Plan, design, and run workshops (current-state discovery, future-state design, requirements validation, and process improvement sessions) that create clear, agreed-upon process documentation.

o   Support current-state process maps and detailed future-state process flows; document hand-offs, roles, pain points, and systems integration points.

o   Identify process efficiency and resiliency opportunities (e.g., automation, consolidation, standardization), quantify expected benefits.

o   Ensure V-ET supply chain requirements are captured, validated, and implemented across all relevant business units.

o   Manage competing demands across stakeholders, balancing scope, timeline, cost, risk, and quality while escalating unresolved trade-offs appropriately.

o   Produce and maintain the workstream project plan, including task-level owners, dependencies, contingency plans, and critical-path monitoring.

o   Drive issue resolution: surface problems, propose options, lead decision-making, and escalate when governance thresholds are met.

o   Keep manager, program leadership, and key stakeholders informed of risks, issues, mitigations, and overall status through standard reporting cadences.

o   Lead, coach, and hold accountable a small team (analysts, SMEs, contractors) to deliver all workstream objectives; ensure quality reviews and version control of deliverables.

o   Documentation standards: enforce consistent templates, naming conventions, and a central repository for all workstream artifacts.

o   Maintain high standards of timeliness, professionalism, and integrity; model behaviors aligned with program governance and organizational culture.

o   Ensures anticipated changes to business resulting from separation activities are known, reviewed against decisions and assumptions, and incorporated into future state solutioning.

o   Partner with change leads to define stakeholder segmentation, communications plan, training curriculum, and local adoption checkpoints; Coordinate with local change leads to ensure site-level readiness, stakeholder engagement, training requirements, and adoption plans are in place prior to rollout

o   Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

o   For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable

o   Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures

o   Performs other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications

•        A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Information Technology or related field highly preferred; Advanced degree such as a M.S. or MBA a plus

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00
