Corewell Health is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Medical Oncology Program. Our patients and their families benefit by innovative, cutting-edge treatments and state-of-the-art programs and services. We specialize in treating the most complex types of cancers and each treatment plan is as unique as the patient who receives it.

The position will split time between our Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion, in downtown Grand Rapids, and at Pennock Hospital, in Hastings, MI. Due to significant growth and expansion, we are excited to announce an incredible opportunity for individuals interested in solid tumor. Enjoy a flexible work schedule that promotes work-life balance. This position allows you to choose between working four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts. You will work in our inpatient spaces, with cross coverage to our ambulatory practices.

This is a full-time position with job responsibilities including the following:

  • Patient consults in the hospital

  • Respond to patient status changes in infusion

  • Infusion oversight

  • Assist with patient procedures

  • You will see established patients, solid tumor and/or first visits

  • Work closely with our employed physicians

 

Candidates with previous oncology experience in an advanced practice provider role preferred but new graduates with previous experience as an Oncology RN or with demonstrated oncology interest will also be considered.

Qualifications

  • Required Master's Degree Nurse Practitioners who obtained their education and certification after 2000 must show evidence of completion of a master’s, post-master’s or doctorate from a Nurse Practitioner program that is accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission
  • 3 years of relevant experience current, relevant clinical experience Required
  • Previous experience functioning in a collaborative role Required
  • Experience as a Nurse Practictioner Preferred
  • LIC-Registered Nurse (RN) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • LIC-Nurse Practitioner (NP) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required Or
  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 90 Days required
  • CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
  • CRT-Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
