Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Data Scientist to join our team!
We are seeking
a highly skilled Data Scientist to support logistics analysis, predictive modeling, and data-driven decision-making at the highest levels of the Department of Defense. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, military logistics, and hands-on experience with leading data and analytics platforms, including Advana, Gold Standard, Palantir Foundry, and Common Operational Picture (COP) tools.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical models to solve complex logistics challenges.
Integrate, analyze, and visualize logistics data using Advana, Gold Standard, Palantir Foundry, and COP platforms.
Analyze large, diverse datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in supply chain and logistics operations.
Collaborate with logistics planners, analysts, and IT professionals to translate operational requirements into data science solutions.
Develop and present actionable insights, visualizations, and recommendations to senior leadership.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with DoD and Joint Staff standards.
Mentor junior data scientists and foster a culture of analytical excellence.
Qualifications Requirements
Education: Master’s in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
Data Science Experience: 8+ years applying data science/analytics in complex environments
Military Logistics: Experience supporting DoD or Joint Staff logistics
Communication: Strong ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences
Clearance: Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
