Markets Operations Belfast Overview:

Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business.  We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

What you’ll do

The Middle Office Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing analytic and administrative support to various related functions. The overall objective of this role is to support traders, maintain records and improve process efficiency.

  • Provide analytical and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading
  • Support trade management and identifying operational risk
  • Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies to make recommendations to senior management to support process improvement
  • Identify control deficiencies, resolve issues and escalate control gaps and issues to senior management when appropriate
  • Escalate all issues in a timely manner and oversee client and business ad-hoc queries and requirements
  • Review existing processes / applications and identify opportunities for improvement

What we’ll need from you:

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail and intermediate problem solving skills
  • Proven success with working in a team environment

Successful candidates will attend a three week Market Operations Training Academy if required. This aims to help you understand how Markets Operations work and where your role fits in in Citi while also providing you with all the tools needed to be the best you can be in your new role.
