Executive Communications Lead

Description -

The Executive Communications Lead will serve as a trusted advisor to the Vice Presidents of the U.S. Consumer Channel Sales and the U.S. Inside Sales Center organizations within HP’s North America Market. S/he will craft thoughtful and engaging executive content for internal and external audiences, leveraging his/her storytelling skills and strategic mindset. S/he will also manage speaking engagements, sales enablement, event content development, communication strategy, and crisis communications for the U.S. Consumer Channel Sales and U.S. Inside Sales Center executives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Craft a variety of employee communications for HP’s U.S. Consumer Channel Sales and the U.S. Inside Sales Center executives including internal/external presentations, messages, announcements, talking points, scripts, briefing materials, etc.
  • Project manage and develop content for a variety of employee programs, internal/external events, campaigns, launches, etc.
  • Manage end-to-end logistics for U.S. Consumer Channel Sales All Employee Meetings and develop post-event reports
  • Develop and maintain U.S. Consumer Channel Sales executive engagement/communications calendar
  • Support North America Market Communications lead on major internal and external events, employee engagement campaigns and launches, including presentations, tick tocks, and other communication assets for the North America Market leadership team
  • Design and own the maintenance of the North America Market executive SharePoint sites  
  • Provide counsel on stage presence, slide design, and end-to-end story arc.
  • Seek a thorough understanding of business priorities and challenges to influence narratives, messages and thought leadership strategies.
  • Craft high-impact, creative short-form content for executive LinkedIn platforms

The ideal candidate is a results-driven self-starter with excellent writing, editing and organizational skills; meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure with a focus on high-quality, timely results

Required Skills and Expectations

  • Postgraduate degree in Communications, English, or Journalism
  • 7-10 years of executive communication experience working for a name brand, tech brand or tech PR – mix of in-house and agency experience a plus.
  • Outstanding professional writing and editing skills
  • Experience managing day-to-day communications programs
  • Background in developing a variety of executive-ready content
  • Exceptional project management and prioritization skills
  • Expert PowerPoint user and experienced with Adobe Design Suite  
  • Strategic storyteller with strong business acumen and ability to learn new information quickly
  • Self-starter with ability to work effectively in a remote team
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
