ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE

Ample is looking for tech-savvy team members who enjoy troubleshooting hardware and software systems. These are full-time roles with a San Francisco-based technology startup. These roles may include working: evenings, weekends & holidays.

As a Swapping Operations Specialist, you will be operating Ample’s EV battery swapping stations and interfacing with customers, troubleshooting any technical issues that arise at our stations. For those individuals capable of and desiring advancement into operations / technical field support, there will be opportunities for growth. Ideal candidates are energetic, enthusiastic and have excellent communication skills.

Ample delivers energy 7 days a week. The Operations team is specifically looking for members willing to work on rotating shifts, according to the customer demand.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Remotely manage Ample’s network of swapping stations, ensuring stations stay in excellent condition and ready to swap
  • Monitor battery swaps for safe and successful completion and customer satisfaction
  • Diligently document information on station status, swap results, customer experience, etc. for detailed operational data tracking
  • Quickly escalate issues to support teams, working within Operations and with Engineers and others to troubleshoot and rapidly resolve hardware and software problems
  • Assist customers with using the swapping stations, as well as any vehicle issues or other inquiries they may have
  • Perform driving, testing, validation, and other hands-on work in the field as needed
  • Work with teams in different countries

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Preferred Education: FP de grado medio o superior idealmente en la familia de Electricidad y Electrónica, o Fabricación Mecánica.
  • Tech-savvy: ability to investigate, understand, and resolve issues associated with complex technical products, including robotics and batteries
  • Hands-on: ability and willingness to roll-up your sleeves to help the team solve a technical problem
  • B2 English level required
  • History with or interest in technical troubleshooting, tinkering, data analysis, and/or light programming
  • Ability to give and receive clear verbal and written communication
  • A continuous improvement approach, adapting quickly and acting with a strong sense of urgency
  • Can-do attitude, enthusiasm for leadership and growth, comfort with ambiguity and ability to perform light physical work
  • Able to work shifts, weekends, and holidays when required
  • Experience with electric vehicles a plus
  • B Driving's license is a plus
