We are growing our UK Sales team and have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager based in Scotland to join our team. We are a High-Performance sales organization, which is thriving from working with our customers – often Industry Leaders – solving complex business challenges and positioning solutions in your focus area together with our skilled Presales and Solutioning organizations.

You will also work closely, partner with our technical experts to expand the value proposition towards your clients and offer the full stack. - You will be regarded a Business Leader and Problem Solver by your customer, in fact their trusted advisor.

The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Scotland will be responsible for driving growth across DXC full portfolio of digital transformation, cloud, applications, security, data, and managed services. This role will cover Scottish Government, Financial Services, Commercial, and other strategic sectors across Scotland, building strong relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning DXC as a trusted transformation partner.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build, manage, and convert a strong pipeline across Government, Financial Services, Commercial, and other key industries in Scotland.

- Deliver sales, margin, and pipeline targets through disciplined account planning and sales execution.

- Lead the end-to-end sales process: prospecting, solution shaping, bid development, and contract negotiation.

- Ensure opportunities are aligned to DXC’s strategic priorities and partnership ecosystem (Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.).

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

- Establish and maintain relationships with senior executives including CIOs, CTOs, procurement teams, technology leaders, and business owners.

- Understand the differing needs of each sector — public sector transformation, financial services regulation, commercial competitiveness — and position DXC’s offerings appropriately.

- Collaborate with internal solution architects, industry specialists, and delivery teams to build compelling, customer-centric proposals.

- Maintain awareness of sector trends across Government, Financial Services, and Commercial markets.

- Understand Scottish Government procurement models, financial services regulatory pressures, and commercial sector technology drivers.

- Provide regular market insights to DXC leadership and support the development of sector-specific go-to-market campaigns.

- Work closely with global and regional DXC teams to assemble the right solutions and experts for each opportunity.

- Support development of cross-sector sales materials, campaigns, and outreach programs.

- Champion best practices across the sales community and contribute to a high-performance culture.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Proven business development and sales experience in Government, Financial Services, Commercial, or other regulated markets.

- Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles and multimillion-pound opportunities.

- Strong commercial and financial acumen.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Experience selling technology transformation, cloud, managed services, or consulting.

Desirable Skills:

- Existing senior network across Scottish Government and/or Financial Services.

- Understanding of Scottish procurement frameworks and UK public sector buying processes.

- Knowledge of cloud modernisation, cyber security, data platforms, and digital transformation services.

- Experience within a global IT services or consulting environment.
