Are you passionate about training and mentoring others? Do you want to help shape the future of Disability Support Practitioners (DSPs)? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to step into a Skill Builder role and play a vital part in supporting the Lifestyles team!

As a Disability Support Practitioner Level 3 – Skill Builder, you’ll provide hands-on guidance and training to new DSPs, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to deliver high-quality support. This is a crucial role focused on the initial onboarding and ongoing skill assessments of our staff, helping them grow into their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentorship & Training: Deliver comprehensive, on-the-job skill-building to new DSPs.
  • Onboarding Support: Assist in signing off on new staff's minimum training requirements through the "Skill Builder" program.
  • Ongoing Assessments: Conduct regular observations and evaluations to ensure ongoing competency for all DSPs.
  • Team Collaboration: Primarily work with the Lifestyles team to ensure staff have the necessary skills to provide exceptional support to our clients.
  • Annual Assessments: Participate in annual assessments and skill validation for all DSPs as required.
