What you will do
As a Lead Engineer-Automation, you will oversee and participate in the development, execution and maintenance of the test plans and automation test scripts. Knowledge on automation processes, workflows, methodologies such as TDD, automation framework development and design.
- Develop test strategies, plans, and maintain automation test data
- Develop and continuously improve automated tests as new system features and enhancements are developed
- Interact with representatives of other cross functional teams to understand and/or recommend requirements and strategies for the project.
- Interact with software architects or other technical leader to understand subsystem and component specifications and recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective development.
- Interact with and maintain solid relationships with key internal and external stakeholder.
- Execute automated tests and manage the resulting defect log through the point of defect fix validation
- Ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place and kept up to date
- Document and mentor QA engineers in the use of the testing framework
- Assist in the identification, selection, and implementation of tools, technologies, and practices that support the overall QA process
- Contribute to accurate time estimates for QA and automation test development
What we look for
Required
Experience-8 yrs -11yrs Industry experience
UG - B.Tech/B.E. – Computers/Electronics or equivalent
PG – M.Tech – Computers/Electronics or equivalent
PG – MCA/MS/MSc (Computers at UG level)
- Hands on experience with writing test automation framework, good command on Selenium, Web DriverIO , Protractor or any other Web UI automation tools.
- Hands on Experience on Designing and maintaining Automation Framework
- Exposure to Load testing, Performance testing and API testing.
- Hands on experience with Typescript, JavaScript or VB Script languages.
- Experience working with cross functional teams distributed globally.
- Good exposure of software test life cycle, development process flow and their tools usage
- Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, problem solving, and an ability to learn quickly
- Domain Knowledge in Electronic Security such as Access Control, Video Surveillance and Intrusion detection is a plus
- Good communication skill to articulate views/thoughts with team and partners or customers without any gap
- Be able to acknowledge and support Project planning and Estimation techniques
- Willingness and Ability to learn new technologies
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems systematically
- Overall knowledge of the computing environment at large, e.g. typical uses and user populations of operating systems, communications protocols, hardware platforms, etc…
