An exciting and challenging opportunity is available for Stress M&T Solutions development within Airbus Commercial Aircraft, joining the Structural Analysis M&T Solutions department in Airframe Engineering.
The job holder will be part of the team in charge of defining and developing both the current run-mode as well as the future Structural Analysis Tools for sizing and certification of serial and next generation Airbus products, 
extensively developing capabilities and employing multiple structural analysis, coding & digitalization skills in a global and collaborative environment within a fully transnational team.
If you want to join us for this opportunity, you will become part of the Structural Analysis Methods & Tools team in Digital Airframe where a combination of competences in 3 axes is needed: programming skills for tool development and implementation, airframe structural and operational knowledge accompanied by and good soft skills and team player.

The position is based in Toulouse (FR).

This opportunity will offer you a challenging professional development for an experienced software developer with a solid stress/structures knowledge basis.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the implementation of existing methods and processes applied on current Airbus programs, securing the required improvements in terms of performance and maintaining the business continuity.

- Develop capabilities supporting Stress and certification methods and processes within the Stress tool sets in C++ and/or Python, aligning with the ambition above.

- Contribute to the definition of new methods and tools to define, evolve and set the standard for new sizing and optimization capabilities for the future, targeting significant challenges in terms of lead time and data continuity and coherence across development processes.
- Contribute to the definition and development of next gen capabilities, focusing on multidisciplinary integration.

- Contribute to automating Stress and Simulation processes in line with the Airframe Engineering digital strategy.

- Follow-up and validate sub-contracted activities. 


We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

Structural Analysis:

- Structural Analysis: Solid background in aerospace engineering with a focus on structural and stress analysis.

- Simulation Tools: Hands-on experience with industry-standard stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA) tools (eg. Altair HyperWorks, MSC Nastran, Simulia Abaqus) and Airbus Stress Tool Sets (ISAMI considered a strong plus)

Software Engineering:

- Experience in developing high-performance applications in Modern C++ and developing maintainable Python applications and GUIs (eg. Qt).

- Experience in refactoring legacy Fortran codebases for modern systems.

- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Functional Programming, and generic programming paradigms.

Soft Skills & Languages:

- Mindset & Teamwork: Proactive, self-motivated team player with a creative and curious approach to complex problem-solving.

- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the flexibility to adapt in a dynamic environment.

- Languages: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Proficiency in additional languages is a strong plus.
