As the Learning Experience Specialist, you will leverage your expertise in learning methodologies to design and deliver a variety of different learning solutions on a variety of topics ranging from compliance training to leadership development and more. Reporting to the Manager, Learning & Leadership Development, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify skill gaps and create engaging learning experiences that meet professional standards in instructional design and adult learning principles. Success in this role requires a dynamic self-starter with a strong background in both learning technology and instructional design.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with internal subject matter experts to assess asynchronous learning needs to inform plans for learning design approach.
  • Project manage each learning solution through the design lifecycle from scoping, research and analysis, design, development, testing, and launch. 
  • Ensure projects meet agreed upon requirements and deadlines.
  • Identify clear learning objectives, performance outcomes, and evaluation strategies.
  • Develop or curate asynchronous learning solutions, consisting of E-Learning courses, video tutorials, and job aids, leveraging multiple tools (e.g., Rise Articulate 360, G-Suite, LinkedIn Learning, Canva).
  • Strive for learning design approaches that not only meet desired stakeholders’ needs but also are scalable for growth as we rapidly shift and change as an organization.
  • Ensure learning solutions incorporate best practices in adult learning theory by monitoring and practicing the latest trends and techniques in adult learning and incorporating them into course design and delivery (E-Learning / Instructor-Led).
  • Support the administration and maintenance of the LMS, inclusive of uploading, disseminating, tracking, and updating of E-Learning solutions.
  • Manage testing and quality control of all E-Learning assets throughout the development process to ensure high quality, client-ready deliverables.
  • Occasional facilitation/support of Instructor-led training events 

What you need to bring:

  • 3-5 years of proven experience with designing, developing, implementing, and/or administering training/learning programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Learning Experience Design, Education, Communication, Organizational Design, Psychology, Human Resources, other equivalent curriculum that focuses on learning or equivalent experience.
  • Experience designing and developing asynchronous learning solutions (portfolio with work samples preferred).
  • Knowledge of Instructional Systems Design Methodology, Adult Learning Theory, Levels of Evaluation.
  • Knowledge of industry standard technologies (e.g., virtual learning platforms, LMS (Docebo), E-Learning authoring tools (Rise), graphics programs (Canva), LinkedIn Learning).
  • Experience with audio/video production and editing a plus.
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English. French proficiency preferred.
  • Ability to understand competency and training and education requirements across a wide range of disciplines.
  • Ability to design and work on multiple projects with rapid development deadlines.
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, challenging work environment.
  • Proven ability to easily adapt quickly to changing priorities.
