What you will need:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Must obtain a Pharmacy Technician certification by a national certification test
Experience with an EMR; EPIC preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to document legibly
Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure. Certified Pharmacy Technician with CPhT certification highly preferred, or must obtain within two year of licensure requirement, or an active student in accredited school of Pharmacy or have maintained active Pharmacy Technician licensure with IL since Jan 2008.
General Summary: This role will process prescription refill and medication prior authorizations following designated protocols, under the direction of the provider and RN for the Elmhurst primary care clinics.
