As a Software Engineer in Test (SET) with a focus on SRE and Infrastructure, you will join an autonomous Agile team and work closely with the Agile Delivery Lead, Software Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to build a robust and resilient software ecosystem. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our systems while incorporating Chaos Engineering and Infrastructure Testing methodologies to identify and mitigate potential failures before they impact our customers.

Leveraging your expertise in testing, automation, and reliability engineering you will enhance our software development lifecycle. Your understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and infrastructure reliability will enable you to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, ensuring proactive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, focusing on integration testing, infrastructure validation, and chaos testing.
• Implement and execute Chaos Engineering practices to simulate failures and ensure system resilience.
• Collaborate with SREs and Dev teams to design and implement observability and monitoring strategies.
• Ensure the testing pyramid includes a solid foundation of integration tests, infrastructure tests, and automated reliability validation.
• Work with cloud-native technologies to test distributed systems and infrastructure components.
• Utilize fault injection tools (e.g., Steadybit, Gremlin, Chaos Mesh, or Litmus) to simulate system failures and analyze recovery mechanisms.
• Automate testing for CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth deployments with minimal risk.
• Research and integrate new testing tools and methodologies to improve software reliability and resilience.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, ensuring testing activities align with development cycles.

What you'll bring:

We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test with a strong focus on infrastructure and reliability, someone who is passionate about ensuring system resilience and thrives in a collaborative, high-velocity engineering culture.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an IT-related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SET) or in a similar role.
• Hands-on experience in OOP languages (C# or Java preferred).
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• A solid understanding of all levels of the testing pyramid, with a focus on integration and infrastructure testing.
• Experience with Chaos Engineering tools such as Steadybit, Gremlin, Chaos Mesh, or Litmus.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• Experience working with cloud platforms and infrastructure testing.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation within DevOps workflows.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their testing strategies.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Passion for continuous learning, reliability, and system resilience.
• Fluent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
