REPORTS TO: Registration Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
MINIMUM Pay RATE: $14 per hour
(Position is FWS Eligible)
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in the processing of transcript evaluations.
2. Assist in the maintenance and updating of student records.
3. Alphabetizing and filing of records documents.
4. Preparation of forms for scanning.
5. Photocopy, scan, and fax documents as requested.
6. Use of discretion when handling confidential documents.
7. Direct students, faculty and staff in the Enrollment Center.
8. Assist with registering students
9. Answering emails and telephone calls
10. Perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Enrolled in 6 credit hours toward your declared major at JJC.
2. GPA of 2.0 or above.
3. High School diploma or equivalent.
4. Organized and accurate.
5. Dependable.
6. Maintain confidentiality of student information according to FERPA guidelines
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office products and data entry.
8. Good communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
9. Professional in appearance and demeanor.
10. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency.
2. Demonstrated multicultural competence.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Normal office physical demands
• Occasional light to medium lifting
WORKING CONDITIONS
• Duties are performed indoors in the usual office environment.
• May work up to 20 hours per school week and up to 28 hours per week during the summer if office budget allows.
• Will include occasional evening hours for commencement
Scheduled Weekly Hours: This is a student employee position that works around your class schedule. May work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. During summer and holiday breaks (Winter/Spring), may work up to 28 hours per week with supervisor approval.
