As the Director of Data Operations, you will lead the development and execution of our data strategy, with a focus on building a scalable data architecture, centralizing data sources, and engineering ecosystems to facilitate data tracking. You will be responsible for surfacing strategic insights, performing ROI analysis for various projects and departments, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration for data analysis and execution. Additionally, you will build and mentor a high-performing data operations team, driving a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What you will do: 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy to centralize data sources, streamline data workflows, and build a scalable data architecture.
  • Design and implement data models, schemas, and pipelines to enable efficient data collection, storage, and retrieval.
  • Lead efforts to engineer ecosystems that facilitate data tracking, monitoring, and analysis, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements, identify key metrics, and surface strategic insights to drive business growth and performance.
  • Perform ROI analysis for various projects and departments, evaluating the impact of initiatives and investments on business outcomes.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing data operations team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to drive team performance and professional growth.
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards and best practices to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration for data analysis and execution, partnering with stakeholders to develop actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance our data capabilities.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in data management, with at least 8 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable data architectures and engineering ecosystems in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data quality management, data integration techniques, and data security best practices.
  • Experience with relational databases, data warehousing, business intelligence tools, and cloud-based data platforms.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of data professionals, driving a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Highly analytical mindset with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
