SOX Program Lead

Description -

Within Global Indirect Procurement (GIP), the Audit and Compliance Programs Lead manages third party supplier compliance, and is accountable for leading the end to end GIP Compliance Programs and activities, such as:

  • Management and oversight of GIP automated and manual SOX Controls
  • Performance of GIP SOX Controls in SAP GRC
  • Attestation on quarterly Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) for the procurement application Procure360 SOX Controls
  • Execution of service supplier/s System and Organization Controls (SOC) and Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) report assessment
  • Coordination of Internal, External, and Quality audits
  • Management of the Global After the Fact (ATF) PO program including ATF PO reporting, ATF PO trend monitoring, offender and infraction frequency tracking, automation of education letter distribution, policy education, monthly ATF PO KPI reporting
  • Assessment of GIP process compliance level, improvement opportunity assessment and implementation
  • Emerging Risk Assessment and Mitigation Strategy Development
  • Collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers to influence, strategize and implement compliance programs that meet regulatory requirements, mitigate risk to HP and elevate supplier compliance with HP’s Supplier Code of Conduct and other relevant standards.

In addition, Audit and Compliance Programs Lead exercises a unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including:

  • Protocol for internal and external end to end audit management
  • Strong knowledge of GIP Policies, Processes and Tools needed to provide walkthroughs for Internal and External Auditors
  • Confidence discussing with Auditors and making the right judgement when acknowledging an audit issue
  • Leads the timely and lasting closure of GIP owned audit issues engaging the relevant GIP and HP Subject Matter Experts
  • Presents the audit issue resolution evidence to the Audit Manager.

In addition, individual in this role is expected to:

  • Contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
  • Successfully operate in the complex disciplines
  • Provide highly innovative solutions
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and drive them towards deployment securing required management of change process
  • Lead large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect GIP’s long-term goals and objectives
  • Participate in cross-division, multi-function teams
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to both peers and lower-level employees
  • Routinely exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and criteria for achieving objectives
  • Develop strategy and set functional policy and direction
  • Act as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage SOX assessments, Internal and External Audits including Country, BU/Function, Program, Supplier, Statutory, Tax and ISO series audits, with no or minimum disruption to other GIP Teams
  • Perform supplier SOC report assessments
  • Manage quarterly attestation on Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) for the procurement application Procure360
  • Manage and drive the automation of the global After the Fact (ATF) PO compliance program that includes offender and frequency of infraction tracking, drive the automation of education letter distribution, provide policy education, own the monthly ATF PO KPI reporting
  • Represent GIP policies, processes and tools confidently during audit fieldwork, presents GIP position with the audit teams, make the right judgement in alignment with GIP Teams when acknowledging on audit issue, drive timely and effective resolution of audit issues engaging the relevant GIP and HP organizations, present the audit issue resolution evidence to the Audit Manager for closure,
  • Lead key workstreams /programs on behalf of GIP Compliance Value Team
  • Ensure third party supplier compliance and business continuity in the designated area of responsibility
  • Collaborate, consult, and align with internal and external stakeholders, partners and suppliers to influence, strategize and implement compliance programs
  • Monitor the legal and regulatory landscape to ensure compliance and risk mitigation opportunities in the designated area of responsibility
  • Promote adherence to HP policies and Integrity at HP
  • Provide subject matter leadership within GIP and externally to HP employees, program managers, and policy owners.

Qualifications:

  • First level university degree; may have advanced university degree.
  • Typically, 10+ years of experience in procurement or a related function.
