Position Summary 

Reporting to the Country Manager, the Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in managing and developing strategic partnerships with key distribution accounts across Belgium and Luxembourg. Acting as the primary link between FMC and our customers, the role fosters long term, collaborative relationships while driving sustainable commercial growth. 

 

In addition to commercial responsibilities, this role incorporates a strong technical dimension, supporting customers with product knowledge, technical discussions, field insights, and participation in technical activities. The position requires a blend of commercial acumen, technical understanding, and a proactive approach to delivering value added solutions. 

 

Location: Belgium (Field-based with regular travel across Belgium and Luxembourg) 

 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and develop strategic partnerships with key distribution accounts across Belgium and Luxembourg. 
  • Build strong professional relationships and maintain a deep understanding of customers’ businesses, crop challenges, and technical needs. 
  • Provide technical support to customers, including product guidance, technical discussions, and participation in field visits or demonstrations. 
  • Drive sales growth through distribution partners by supporting activities that engage endusers and deliver both commercial and technical value. 
  • Execute the commercial strategy, monitoring performance and adapting plans to meet business objectives. 
  • Collaborate closely with Technical, Commercial, Marketing and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment and seamless endtoend execution. 
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and maintain exceptional customer service standards. 
  • Proactively resolve customer issues and manage complaints to maintain trust and longterm partnerships. 

 

Mandatory Requirements:  

  • Proven experience in sales, account management, technical support or commercial roles within the agricultural or related industry. 
  • Strong relationshipbuilding and communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at multiple stakeholder levels. 
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical product information clearly to customers. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive commercial performance and manage key accounts. 
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. 
  • Fluency in Dutch, French and English. 
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly across Belgium and Luxembourg.
