System Hardware/Software Engineer

Looking for an experienced Systems engineer with 5-10 years of on-the-job experience. Degree in EE/CS or similar is required. The candidate will need to rapidly come up to speed on an existing product with complex hardware/firmware/software architecture. The candidate will then have to work with a team of optics, chemistry, and circuit experts to modify the existing system hardware/firmware/software configuration to adapt the existing product to a variety of applications in an unrelated technical field. Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are required. The candidate will work independently as well as part of a group to modify existing hardware (e.g. pcb test board redesigns), interpret existing firmware command set and make it more readily accessible, and help visualize new data types live during experiments as well as manage cloud data storage and access. Previous experience with optics and optical systems such as LIDAR is highly desirable.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $125,250 to $187,875.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
