Job Title:                      Accounting Intern - Malaysia

Department:                     Finance Controller

Position Overview:

The incumbent will be exposed to Accounting for APAC entities (Malaysia, Singapore and China) and medical device environment. He/she will provide support to area/field being assigned and completed tasks assigned by Senior Accountant/Senior Manager/Directors within or cross division.

Through its OmniPod Insulin Management System, Insulet seeks to expand the use of insulin pump therapy among people with insulin-dependent diabetes.  Insulet's Delivery Systems business also partners with global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to tailor the OmniPod technology platform for the delivery of subcutaneous drugs across multiple therapeutic areas. 

Responsibilities:

  • Tasks include Accounting entries to prepare journal and template for monthly/quarterly closing.  
  • Check and search for PO/Invoices in SAP for Capex commitment/spending for audit purposes.
  • Reconcile inter-company opening balances from SAP for APAC entities.
  • Support for audit queries/supporting document for APAC entities.
  • Support Tax teams for tax queries for APAC entities.
  • Provide supporting document and tax analysis as requested by Tax Agent for APAC entities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Finance or at least final year in accounting course or similar field
  • MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Multi-language fluency preferred (English, Malay, Mandarin)
  • Knowledge in Accounting System
