Job Purpose
The role contributes to GSK Pakistan's Communications & Government/Public Affairs strategies, aiming to build trust, drive advocacy, engage employees, and align them with GSK's long-term business objectives. By leading internal communication strategy, delivering compelling content, partnering with stakeholders, and supporting government relations and public affairs, the role holder plays a crucial role in achieving these goals.
Education & Experience & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Corporate/Mass Communications, or a related field.
Minimum 4-5 years of experience in the corporate sector.
Proficient in internal/external communications, media relations, stakeholder management, with experience handling sensitive information and complex communications.
Key Responsibilities
Communication Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement GSK Pakistan's internal communication strategy, utilizing diverse
Ensure alignment of all internal content with GSK's global brand, narrative, and strategic priorities.
Continuously create and refine content to match the priorities of the local and regional teams.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support GSK's vision and strategy.
Support government and public affairs activities, fostering effective engagement with key stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health, DRAP, and trade bodies.
Prepare advocacy and representation documents related to regulatory and industry issues.
Employee Engagement & Culture Building
Drive internal engagement initiatives like Let's Talk, reverse mentoring, and volunteering opportunities.
Enhance workplace engagement scores and foster open communication through internal channels.
Improve internal communication campaigns to strengthen culture, collaboration, and employee satisfaction.
Project & Initiative Leadership
Lead communication efforts for key CSR initiatives
Manage GSK Pakistan's website and ensure timely publication of annual reports.
Support Disease Awareness plans and new product launches, including Shingrix and Arexvy.
External Relations & Crisis Management
Support the Head of Corporate Affairs in building relationships with key stakeholders.
Monitor media reports and effectively respond to external queries and crisis situations.
Oversee the PR agency to safeguard GSK's reputation and ensure efficient media management.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate the impact of communication initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.
Ensure compliance with GSK's standards for external and internal communications.
Implement Straight Talk initiatives to reinforce commitments to DEI.
Additional Responsibilities
Act as a deputy for the Head of Corporate Affairs when required.
Support key CGA activities in strategic growth areas and cultivate internal and external relationships to enhance GSK's reputation.
Develop and execute corporate reports and external communication initiatives as needed.
