Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the Advanced Composites Center in Hazelwood, MO! The Aerospace Composites Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing’s Fighter Programs.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements production and tooling methodologies. Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.
  • Develops, identifies and implements conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build. Leads and implements manufacturing plans.
  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.
  • Assists in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.
  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.
  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule. Coordinates and implements new engineering principles, theories, advanced technologies and concepts.
  • Validates and ensures production readiness of solutions to complex problems. Implements lean principles and technologies.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance is required.​

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
  • Experience working directly in a manufacturing environment (fabrication or assembly factories

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in Aerospace
  • Experience working technical improvement projects.
  • Experience working with machined detail and assembly parts.
  • Experience of 3d cad systems
  • Experience of developing processes utilizing SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.
  • ABET accredited engineering degree

Relocation:

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary pay range: $90,100 - $110,300
