Your Role: The Internal Translator is responsible for linguistically and culturally interpreting the written material in a way that maintains or duplicates the structure and style of the original text while keeping the ideas and facts of the original material accurate.

Interview Process: If you are selected for the role, you will be required to complete a short video assessment that is mandatory for all applicants, it will not take you more than 20 minutes to complete. Shortlisted talents will then have to complete a Translation Test as well which will be assessed by our team thereafter on proficiency and accuracy.

What You'll Do:

• Be a strategic partner in delivering translations on time and adhering to our quality commitments to clients
• Carefully adhere to provided material and instructions to meet the requirements of the clients
• Research industry-specific terminology to properly reflect the meaning and tone of the source content
• Cross-reference specialized glossaries and translation tools to check the quality of the translation
• Proofread translated texts for terminology, grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
• Work with the IQVIA™ Translations Services team to identify gaps in instructions or any external issue that may affect the commitment to the client.
• Work with the IQVIA™ Translations Services team to update or improve glossaries, Translation Memories, Style Guides and any other internal assets.
• Provide thorough and relevant feedback on the quality of the translation work performed by other linguists or strategic partners.
• Be the point of contact for IQVIA™ Translations Services to manage quality and on-time delivery related to feedback.

What We're Looking For:

• A degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field. A degree in healthcare-related field can also be considered, with a combination of actual medical translation experience.
• At least 3 years of experience translating, reviewing and editing life sciences content including clinical trial documents.
• Proficiency in English and Japanese (Japanese being native language).
• Strong grasp of medical terminology and clinical trial processes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Being able to work according to tight deadlines and independently.
• Experience with translation management systems and CAT tools.
• Experience with memoQ is desirable.
