About APM Terminals
APM Terminals operates one of the most comprehensive marine container terminal networks in the world, with over 20,000 employees across 76 terminals in 36 countries. We play a critical role in enabling the global Maersk Ocean and Logistics network and serve other shipping lines, beneficial cargo owners, freight forwarders, and intermodal logistics providers.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our APM FLOW Execution System (FES) team, based in Bengaluru, India. This role focuses on end-to-end software delivery, including design, development, deployment, and production support of C#-based microservices running on Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Ownership

  • Take complete responsibility for software delivery from design to production deployment.
  • Ensure high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with business requirements.

• Development & Architecture

  • Design and develop microservices using C#/.NET Core.
  • Implement containerized solutions and deploy on Kubernetes clusters.

• CI/CD & DevOps

  • Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Ensure smooth integration and deployment processes across environments.

• Cloud & Infrastructure

  • Work with cloud-native architectures and container orchestration platforms.
  • Optimize performance and reliability of distributed systems.

• Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with product owner to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Document design decisions, technical specifications, and deployment processes.

Required Qualifications

• Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in software development with strong expertise in C#/.NET Core.
  • Hands-on experience in building microservices and deploying them on Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in C#, .NET Core, and RESTful API development.
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
