Brown & Brown is seeking a Benefits Consultant to join our growing team in Plano, TX!
The Benefits Consultant will be responsible for employee benefits account management responsibilities. This includes day to day client contact and assistance with daily service functions. Utilizes technical expertise to retain present clients. Administers marketing and renewal functions. Assists Team Lead in servicing the financial consulting needs of the employee benefit clients. Evaluates financial and utilization metrics for clients including but not limited to monthly financial reports, utilization metrics and benchmarks as well as assist with other ad hoc reports and analysis.
How You Will Contribute:
All responsibilities that fall within the Account Manager & Financial Analyst career tracks.
Development and execution of client benefit strategy.
Independently advises clients on all areas of compliance.
Intermediate level of compliance, benchmarking, renewal & marketing, reporting & analytics, and able to perform these functions with little guidance.
Provide client utilization and financial reporting to Team Lead and to clients.
Partners with Team Lead to lead client meetings and presentations.
Partners with Team Lead to onboard new clients.
Strong knowledge of and relationships with vendors.
Delegates tasks, training and onboarding to Specialists as appropriate.
Participates in market meetings, seminars and training programs as directed.
Monitor monthly financials for client including entry of data into client exhibits
Prepare and send monthly financial reports to clients with analysis of activity and large claim detail.
Licenses & Certifications:
Must obtain and maintain active Life/Accident and Health Insurance Agent License.
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Minimum of 4-year degree or equivalent work experience required.
5+ years employee benefits experience with a thorough understanding and knowledge of employee benefits.
1+ years financial experience.
Proficient with MS Office Suite.
Microsoft Excel – Strong to expert level skills required.
Ability to work independently.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
