As a Software Engineer II .NET, you will under limited supervision, be responsible for the analysis, development, implementation, and support aspects of multi-layered enterprise applications. This includes designing and developing new libraries, components, applications, services, or integrations as well as enhancing existing solutions, troubleshooting issues, and working with the appropriate resources to deliver solutions with an emphasis on .Net frameworks.
This includes not only performing the appropriate software development lifecycle activities but also serving as a technical leader and mentor to other engineers. You will also:
Lead and execute technical initiatives that span across multiple systems within a Platform, including troubleshooting, containment, issue resolution, and root cause analysis.
Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more aspects of software engineering best practices, which includes but is not limited to front-end UI & UX, APIs & microservices, schema development, and DevSecOps .
Explore emerging technologies and anticipate industry disruptions.
Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and conforming to coding standards.
Proactively engage with stakeholders through verbal interviews and other data-gathering activities in order to support the development of and enhancements to applications and services.
Update your job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; and participating in educational opportunities.
Work with business analysts and customers to resolve problems and help plan for future needs.
Work with users to understand the use of systems and system enhancement or modification needs.
Use your computer and analysis knowledge to analyze, design, and write new application systems.
Create and modify complex applications programs, test, debug, document, and maintain those programs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information systems, engineering, mathematics, or related field and 3-5 years of technical, analytical, systems and programming experience.
Demonstrable knowledge in the current application development techniques, such as object-oriented and client/server.
Professional experience writing software across multiple layers of the application stack (front-end, back-end, data, and database technology).
Experience in a team-oriented cross-functional work environment that involves formal structures, roles, and responsibilities.
Ability to lead technical conversations, strong understanding of API development best practices, ability to pick up new tech stacks quickly.
Experience with the core tech stack - .net core, c#, ReactJS, Mulesoft, Jenkins, Openshift.
