Our CISO team is creating a new function called Product Security with the goal of helping developers across the bank build secure applications.   Product Security will be key to ensuring that our DevOps chapters build secure applications that can be trusted in the production environment. 

Our Product Security team will become a key partner between Cyber Security and our technical teams helping promote adoption of security best practice and modern methods helping teams learn from mistakes earlier in the development life cycle and continue to evolve the importance of Cyber Security in everything we do.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Driving leadership of a technical and security minded team
  • Focusing and working with platform teams to improve controls providing an understanding of the risks posed by their platform
  • Preparing, supporting and influencing training and development material to support our Security Champions with subject matter expertise
  • Influencing business, technical and security teams in understanding and share knowledge and best practice
     

What you’ll bring:

  • Analytical mind, willing to challenge data to understand more and seek data driven opportunities to improve
  • Ability to work and collaborate with engineering teams (including developers and product owners) to ensure that CISO guidelines are met
  • Understanding of AWS, cloud and secure development concepts (including the use of security tooling in CI/CD pipelines)

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Devops background with an interest in security
  • Establishment of feedback and data-driven continuous improvement programmes
  • Understanding of mobile security concepts

What else you need to know:

This role is based in Milton Keynes.

To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).

1st Stage – Technical Interview – this will a 30min technical interview with one of the team

2nd Stage – A one-hour formal interview where we will ask both technical and competency-based questions. This can be done virtually or face to face depending on your situation
