 Job Title: Manager Planning & Cost Control

KBR is growing its Project Management Consultancy (PMC) team for an exciting, high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The ADNOC PMC project role would be based initially in Contractors Office in Abu Dhabi for some time till administrative process is completed and the candidate will be then moving outside UAE ( to an Asian Country FEED location ) for 6 – 8 months and then returning to UAE.

The project duration is until 2028 with possible extension.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage all planning, scheduling, cost control, progress measurement, forecasting, and reporting functions for offshore oil & gas projects. The role ensures project execution aligns with approved schedules, budgets, contractual requirements, and ADNOC standards while providing accurate project performance analysis and recommendations to management.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop, maintain, and control integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and detailed execution schedules.
• Review contractor and subcontractor schedules for compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor critical path activities and identify schedule risks and recovery plans.
• Conduct schedule analysis, trend reviews, and delay impact assessments.
• Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up phases.

Cost Control

• Develop project budget structures and cost breakdowns.
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
• Prepare cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and Estimate at Completion (EAC).
• Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper cost coding and expenditure tracking.
• Support change management and variation order evaluations.

Project Controls & Reporting

• Establish project control procedures and reporting systems.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for ADNOC management.
• Monitor project KPIs, productivity, earned value, and performance indicators.
• Lead project progress measurement and forecasting processes.
• Develop dashboards and executive reports for project stakeholders.

Risk Management

• Identify schedule and cost risks affecting project delivery.
• Maintain project risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Support quantitative and qualitative risk assessments.
• Evaluate the impact of identified risks on project objectives.

Stakeholder & Team Management

• Lead and mentor Planning and Cost Control Engineers.
• Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Interface with ADNOC representatives, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
• Participate in management review meetings and project performance reviews.

Contract Management Support

• Support claims analysis, extension of time (EOT), and delay assessments.
• Review contractor progress claims and project performance reports.
• Assist commercial and contract teams in evaluating project changes and contractual impacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• PMP, PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional), or equivalent certification preferred.
• Primavera P6 Certification preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in Project Controls, Planning, and Cost Control.
• At least 8-10 years in a managerial role within Oil & Gas, Offshore, EPC, or EPCM projects.
• Extensive experience on ADNOC, Offshore, Brownfield, Greenfield, or major energy projects.
• Strong experience with project controls systems, earned value management, and forecasting methodologies.
