We seek a skilled Front-End Developer to join our dynamic team, responsible for supporting and enhancing a web-based application hosted in the Amazon GovCloud environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end technologies and cloud development, with a focus on delivering high-quality user interfaces and robust application enhancements. You will play a crucial role in investigating and resolving software bugs, designing new features, and transforming code across different UI frameworks.

Primary Responsibilities:

·       Bug Investigation and Resolution: Identify, analyze, and fix software bugs as they arise to ensure smooth functionality and user experience.

·       Software Design and Development: Create and implement new software features and enhancements to improve application performance and user satisfaction.

·       Code Transformation: Transform and adapt code from one UI framework to another to meet evolving project needs and ensure compatibility.

 

Minimum qualifications :

·       Education & Experience: Bachelor degree in technology.  Minimum of 4-8 years of professional hands-on experience in software development.

·       Technical Skills:

·       Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Java.

·       Experience in designing software that adheres to 508 Accessibility standards (WCAG).

·       Knowledge of SQL for database interactions.

·       Tools and Frameworks:

·       Proficient in using IntelliJ as a development IDE.

·       Familiarity with Polymer and other UI frameworks.

·       Experience with GIT version control and tools like GitKraken or GitEye.

·       Competence in using database tools such as DBeaver.

·       Experience transforming code between different UI frameworks.

·       Cloud Development Skills and Qualifications:

·       Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments, specifically **Amazon Web Services (AWS)** or similar platforms.

·       Deployment: Knowledge of cloud deployment practices and tools.

·       Scalability: Understanding of how to design applications for scalability and performance in a cloud environment.

·       Security: Awareness of cloud security practices and principles.

·       Skills and Attributes:

·       Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

·       Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·       Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

·       Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Ability to quickly develop UI mock-ups based on new application requirements.

·       Comfort working in a remote, collaborative environment with a geographically dispersed team.

Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
