The Opportunity

Grant Thornton’s Consulting Team are seeking to recruit experienced People and Change Consultants at Manager and Associate Director levels within the advisory consulting practice, based out of Dublin, Belfast or Cork.

This is an exciting opportunity for ambitious and motivated individuals to join our People and Change Consulting team in a growing area of our business. These will be challenging and fulfilling roles within a team that delivers work for clients in areas such as designing and delivering leadership development programmes, learning and development, organisational design, strategic workforce planning, performance management, change management, stakeholder engagement and communications, HR Due Diligence, and organisational culture.

The roles are to contribute to and support the delivery of a variety of client engagements, contribute to project team success on assignments, and providing updates to the Director and Partner team. The successful candidates will be exposed to a variety of jobs and will be given the opportunity to lead on interesting and challenging client projects. An additional aspect of the roles will be to lead and support the business development initiatives of the team. The role will provide an excellent opportunity to build a long term and sustainable career in a growing area of our business.

Main responsibilities:

  • Leading and supporting on client and people and change projects from initiation to close
  • Engaging project stakeholders in order to effectively manage client delivery and projects
  • Working with clients across Ireland implementing change management programmes
  • Preparation of formal reports and presentations
  • Ensuring assigned projects and tasks meet required deadlines
  • Conducting industry research and thought leadership covering the key market sectors/target clients
  • Support and lead on business development initiatives
  • Support and preparation of proposals and tendering for new client work.

Skills and Experience

The candidate must have capabilities and proven experience in at least one (and ideally more) of the following areas:

  • Operating Model and Organisation design and implementation
  • Learning and Development programme design and delivery
  • HR consulting, including for example HR Strategy, HR Maturity Assessment, HR Operating Model and Workforce Planning
  • HR Transformation design and delivery, including familiarity with leading HR products (i.e. technology offerings) on the market

In addition to the points above, candidates must be able to demonstrate strong Project Management and Change Management experience through the implementation of the above capabilities.

Other relevant experience to include:

  • a minimum of 3-10 years’ relevant experience preferably in a consulting or corporate environment
  • experience of working in and / or with large scale organisations
  • experience in supporting business development an advantage (including preparation of proposals, tendering and bids writing)
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • excellent written skills including the preparation of comprehensive reports and presentations
  • an ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
  • an ability to contribute and deliver in a project environment
  • ability to effectively manage a number of tasks
  • an ability to build strong networks
  • an ability to work effectively under pressure
  • strong leadership and people management skills;
  • strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; and
  • excellent MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
