A Brief Overview:
As an RN Perinatal Educator, you will play a crucial role in educating and supporting expectant mothers and their families through the perinatal journey. You will facilitate childbirth and parenting classes, provide individualized education and guidance, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible pregnancy and childbirth experience for our patients.
 

Position Highlights:

  • Location: Classes are taught at both Edward Hospital (Naperville) and Elmhurst Hospital (Elmhurst)
  • Per Diem teach 1-2 classes per month, as needed

What you will doInstructs perinatal classes in accordance with current policy, practices and philosophy of the Edward Elmhurst Health Women's and Children's service lines. 

What you will need:

  • IL RN License 
     
  • Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association (BLS)
     
  • Certification from an accredited organization such as ASPO/Lamaze, Academy of Certified Birth Educators-Birth and Beginnings Education (ACBE-BABE), International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA), Prepared Childbirth Educators, Inc. (PCE) or other acceptable childbirth education organization required for instructing Childbirth classes
     
  • Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license, midwife license, or doula certification, preferred   
  • RN experience in Labor and Delivery preferred
