IQVIA is looking for an Engagement Manager to join the UK Commercial Strategy and Insights team.

Commercial Strategy and Insights is a key department within UK Commercial Services. The team consists of 30 people across London and Portugal, supported by 10 people in India. They design and deliver consulting and analytics projects, leveraging our world-class proprietary data assets to advance our UK-based pharmaceutical and healthcare clients.

We are seeking an established life sciences consulting professional with a proven track record in developing, selling, and delivering projects within the life sciences space.

Role Summary

As an Engagement Manager reporting to the Principal – Head of Commercial Strategy and Insights, you will be responsible for business development, client management, line management, and offering development within the team’s three main capability areas:

  • Commercial Consulting
  • Profiling, Segmentation & Targeting
  • Longitudinal Patient and Prescription Dynamics Tracking

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead business development for several named pharmaceutical companies, working closely with Key Account Managers and colleagues with delivery expertise in other functional areas.
  • Take responsibility for project management, ensuring consistent high-quality delivery.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in other functions of IQVIA UK, as well as other countries, to define and deliver solutions that address client needs.
  • Liaise with other IQVIA country organizations to support the business needs of UK-based HQ clients.
  • Take line management responsibility for 2-4 individuals within the team.
  • Assist in the personal development of team members to drive staff retention and career development within and outside the CS&I team.
  • Support colleagues in the Offering Development team to conceptualize and realize new offerings.
  • Raise the profile of IQVIA by attending industry conferences and events, submitting articles to industry publications, and attending in-person and virtual client events.

Education, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2:1 honours degree.
  • Significant in-depth commercial consulting experience in healthcare.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to support the execution of multiple complex projects simultaneously within a team environment, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills for influencing and advising.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) to a strong business standard.
