That’s Nice, But What’s the Job?

In short, we are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team.  This is a hands-on role responsible for the monthly accounting of assigned entities.

In long, our Senior Accountant is responsible for:

• Record daily cash transactions and prepare monthly bank reconciliations

• Prepare monthly billings for related entities and lessees

• Assist with coding and review of accounts payable invoices

• Prepare month end journal entries and maintain supporting schedules for all balance sheet accounts

• Prepare monthly financial statements and analyze trend reports for accuracy

• Prepare and distribute annual 1099 NECs for multiple entities

• Act as liaison between Verde Investments and offsite accountants or management companies at various owned real estate assets

• Calculate and file monthly sales tax reports

The Specifics.

• 3-5 years prior accounting experience

• Proficient in various accounting systems

• Strong Excel skills

• Excellent attention to detail

• Experience with small business accounting preferred

• Ability to work independently

• Communication skills are essential

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

• Basic knowledge of business taxes (i.e sales, excise and income tax)

• Ability to prioritize/re-prioritize multiple tasks
