As a Service Manager you will be responsible for warranty support functions, to include administration, dealer support, field service support, repairs, part requests and recovery. You will support a Technical Support Specialist team while maintaining customer satisfaction and maximum service by providing customers and service providers with technical assistance. Manage local service providers in performance of service, repair parts deliveries and parts recovery.

YOUR IMPACT:

  • Manage, assign and supervise the work of others
  • Train and mentor subordinates in the areas of vehicle warranty, day-to-day business operations, system measures, and project management.
  • Travel as required in support of refuse dealers, customers, and service providers.
  • Diagnose, repair, and service refuse vehicle concerns. If necessary, coordinate with local service providers and technical support specialists.
  • Coordinate with dealers, customers, service providers, and fellow employees to get service and parts expedited to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Anticipate customer needs and develop recommended parts stocking requirements for upcoming field and maintenance operations.
  • Manage refuse domestic and international field efforts.
  • Present a professional image to OSK, to the government, and to US commercial agencies.
  • Manage refuse warranty administration process.
  • Manage refuse vehicle retrofit/recall programs.
  • Assist Oshkosh aftermarket business development personnel with market resource and identification of new business opportunities.
  • Develop and report service. Parts and service sales critical issues.
  • Develop service support and service sub-contractor network in support of service contracts.
  • Review reports for systemic issues and initiate Field Quality Reports (FQRs) to document issues coming in from the field.  Work with internal teams on corrective actions and continuous improvements to address these issues.
  • Manage vehicle configuration as outlined from engineering.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, automotive technical, mechanical engineering, or related field; or 4 years professional experience in a related field
  • A minimum of 7 years relevant experience in a leadership role
  • Active passport or ability to obtain a passport
