What You Will Do:

  • Provide analytics, data science, and business intelligence support to Department of State clients.

  • Focus on client services, while also supporting business development, internal firm initiatives, and ongoing professional development in data science and analytics.

  • Identify and address client needs, build client relationships, and drive initiatives forward.

  • Wrangle, cleanse, and analyze data using Python and SQL.

  • Develop advanced visualizations and dashboards using Tableau and/or Power BI using data visualization and business intelligence (BI) best practices.

  • Perform data science in an Azure environment.

  • Leverage advance data science platforms such as Databricks.

  • Work with Large Language Models.

  • Write technical process/model documentation as needed.

  • Support business development including RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses and white papers.


What You Will Need:

  • An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, analytical, or computational discipline.

  • THREE (3) or more years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, data science or business analysis

  • Proficiency in wrangling data and developing machine learning models in Python.

  • Proficiency in developing dashboards in Power BI or Tableau.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to understand complex data and business processes and adapt analytical/data science approach accordingly.

  • Ability to operate successfully on remote, hybrid, or on-site projects in the greater DC metro area.


What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • M.S. or M.A. in a relevant quantitative, analytical, or computational discipline.

  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • Professional experience in DevOps.

  • Professional experience developing data science solutions in Azure.

  • Professional experience utilizing Databricks.

  • Professional experience utilizing Large Language Models.

  • Proficiency in querying data using SQL.

The annual salary range for this position is $109,100.00-$163,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
