The Role:

Marigold is seeking a highly motivated Juris Doctor candidate to join our Legal team as a Law Intern, reporting to the Assistant General Counsel. This internship offers meaningful, hands-on experience supporting a global SaaS organization navigating complex regulatory and commercial environments.

The Law Intern will contribute to legal research, regulatory analysis, contract review support, policy development, and cross-functional advisory work. What You’ll Do:

  • Analyze new and evolving federal and state laws and summarize business impact

  • Assist in drafting and updating internal policies, guidelines, and compliance documentation

  • Support litigation research or dispute-related documentation as needed

  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Product, and Security teams to support legal inquiries

About You:
You are a law student with meaningful professional experience who brings maturity, discipline, and strong analytical judgment to your work. You have already operated in high-performance environments and understand the importance of accountability, discretion, and precision.

You are comfortable navigating complex regulatory frameworks and translating legal concepts into practical, business-oriented guidance. You approach research thoughtfully, write clearly and concisely, and take pride in producing work that is thorough, organized, and actionable.

You are detail-oriented without losing sight of the broader business context. You manage competing priorities effectively and communicate with confidence across functions. You are eager to deepen your understanding of in-house legal practice and to see firsthand how legal strategy supports innovation within a global SaaS organization.

You value integrity, sound judgment, and collaboration, and you are excited to contribute meaningfully while working closely with the Assistant General Counsel.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Juris Doctor program with strong academic performance

  • Prior professional experience in compliance, regulatory analysis, financial services, public policy, or a similarly structured environment

  • Demonstrated experience drafting memoranda, briefs, policy documentation, or executive-ready summaries

  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to analyze evolving federal and state laws

  • Interest in data privacy, marketing regulations, SaaS contracting, corporate governance, or technology law

  • Exceptional legal research and writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into practical guidance

  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-accountability environments where attention to detail is critical

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

  • Professional maturity and discretion when handling sensitive or confidential information
