Regulatory Reporting team within Finance is responsible for preparation of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly returns to Central Banks and other policymakers. The reporting requirements are spread across Financial, Statistical, and Prudential regimes.

Financial and Statistical reporting team is responsible for categorizing end of period positions in the form of locally required balance sheet & P&L statements, while Prudential reporting team is responsible for capital adequacy calculation as per actual Basel rules, which includes accurate monitoring and reporting of capital ratios to several stakeholders including senior management, business leads and regulators.

Our focus in on a large EMEA investment bank with a wide range of financial products. The tasks also include closely collaborating with Traders, Middle Office and Policy team from time to time.

In this position you will use and expand your experience and professional skills for the following responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation, analysis, and submission of reports to various constituencies (National / central regulators like BaFin, ECB, SEC, etc) based on requirements such as IFRS, German GAAP, Basel
  • Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events
  • Participation in efficiency and innovation projects on ad hoc basis by reviewing and developing current processes using advanced digitalization tools
  • Ongoing review and development of current processes to increase efficiency
  • Liaising with multiple departments of the covered countries (including Financial Control, Treasury, Risk and Technology departments) to resolve issues
  • Provide support to country Finance teams on an ad-hoc basis (e.g. audits, regulatory inquiries)
  • Act as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.

The ideal candidate for this position preferably possesses the following qualifications and skills:

  • 3+ years of work experience in financial, regulatory or risk reporting / auditing roles
  • Good understanding of Accounting & Finance principles and Financial Markets and products/Regulatory Reporting requirements
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of VBA, Python, Knime, SQL
  • University/College degree in finance/accounting
  • Knowledge about German GAAP / IFRS is highly advantageous
  • Knowledge about Basel 3 is highly advantageous
  • Languages: English (mandatory), German (advantageous)
