Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector is looking for a Consulting System Performance Specification (SPS) Product Owner. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and may offer a competitive relocation package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
The selected candidate will perform, but are not limited to, the following duties. Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) and technical lead with total owner of the level 1 specification leading to the successful implementation for the Sentinel Program by System Functional Review (SFR). Partner with the Sentinel and customer leadership to move the SPS toward product maturity.
Coordinate with Thread Leads to ensure proper requirement allocation and verification.
Brief program leadership, customers, and stakeholders on the System Performance Specification.
Establish an effective system of working group / coordination sessions with stakeholders across the development community to ensure the SPS is consistent with program cost and schedule constraints.
Develop and maintain strong relationships across the Sentinel program, customers, and stakeholder communities.
Engage in formal and informal mentoring to support knowledge transfer and talent development.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 16 years of related experience
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- 10+ years of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or similar tool
- 8+ years’ experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems
- 8+ years’ experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities
- 6+ years' experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation
- 6+ years' experience on large scale / complex system development experience across multiple phases of a development program: preliminary design, detailed design, integration and test, verification and sell off, transition to production.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with weapon system requirements verification.
• Experience implementing and using model-based systems engineering tools, practices, and methods.
• Strong program execution skills; demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones.
• Strong partnership/collaboration skills. Demonstrated ability to partner cross-IPT/cross-discipline within a team.
