About Advertising Technology:

Our Advertising Technology team is building an end-to-end advertising platform that is key to Walmart’s overall growth strategy. We use cutting edge machine learning, data mining and optimization algorithms to ingest, model and analyze Walmart’s proprietary online and in-store data, encompassing 95% of American households. Importantly, we build smart data systems that deliver relevant retail ads and experiences that connect our customers with the brands and products they love.
What you'll do –
The person will be working on the development Backend on Walmart projects. He/She should be able to develop services in Java, springboot ,DBMS ( azure,mysql) , GCP, BigQuery, snowflake. He/She Should be able to understand and co-ordinate with the Sr BE developers and product folks to understand the requirements and come up with detailed design solutions. He/She should be an expert in hibernate, hands on experience with restful services.
In this role you will be responsible to research, guide, and execute Backend architecture changes.
• You will work closely with our product team
• You will be required to raise the bar on improving and maintaining best practises, quality of code, documentation, test coverage & automation, monitoring and delivery of features.
• In this role it would be important for you to estimate effort, identify risks, help with prioritization and devising/meeting project schedules.
• You will be required to showcase sustainable engineering by improving best practices, producing best in class of code, documentation, testing and monitoring. We've migrated most of our frontend to React and we constantly find ways to improve our JS code.
• Software security is of prime importance and by developing programs that monitor sharing of private information, you will be able to add tremendous credibility to your work
• You will also be required to have strong communication skills to collaborate with stake holders and other cross-functional teams.
• You will be expected to give back to team and community by participating in mentoring, trainings, open source contributions & blog posts.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
6+ years of BE Development
