Technical Operations Analyst II

We are looking for a motivated Technical Operations Analyst for our Channel Operations team. The role will be supporting marketing channels that provide Expedia Group a global presence with various marketing partners to help them succeed.

We here at the Expedia Group Channel Operations build and facilitate connections between external partners and our platforms. You will be tasked with working directly with Metasearch and Paid Social partners and serve as their technical point of contact. You will have the responsibility to continuously monitor and improve the technical integration of existing partners and onboard new partners. More specifically, you will configure and provide API connections, data feeds, tracking and deeplinking, as well as report on and improve inventory mapping. You will also be troubleshooting pricing or content related issues with our partners. Furthermore, you will be monitoring and improving tracking in our apps and enhance the customer experience of our apps.

This role is based in London, United Kingdom.

What you'll do:

  • Taking ownership in onboarding partners to our systems and helping them integrate with Expedia Group (through search APIs, booking APIs and content feeds). You will also be responsible for improving the quality of existing integrations.

  • Be the subject matter expert for the Car and Vacation Rental lines of business within our team.

  • You will improve the onboarding process to reduce the time it takes for technical integration, as well as create and execute strategies to avoid technical issues.

  • Investigate and resolve any technical problems partners may face. You will act as the first line of support for issues, investigate root causes and devise solutions, either independently or with the help of other teams.

  • Handle internal relationships with key technical support teams

  • Increase the share of customers landing in our app, either by leveraging native app deeplinking solutions or deploying 3rd party deeplinking technology.

  • Set up and maintain app install tracking so that downloads can be attributed back to the marketing channels that drove them. Oversee and continue to improve conversion tracking, attribution and analyse KPIs.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in analytics, data, marketing, or business background or in the related field

  • Several years of experience working in online marketing, operations or related field

  • Familiar with data sharing-related internet protocols (REST, JSON, XML, etc.)

  • Good interpersonal skills and you work well within a team

  • Ability to analyse and interpret large data sets

  • Meticulous attention to detail in your work, including communications and documentation

  • Positive personality, and a genuine interest in working in a fast paced, environment and wearing multiple hats as needed

  • Proficiency with the APIs and you bring basic to intermediate SQL

  • Experience with a digital analytics services (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or similar) is preferred. If not, a strong willingness and aptitude to learn new tools and technologies is a must.
