POSITION SUMMARY:

The Uniform Services Supervisor assists the Uniform Services Manager in the effective operation of the WPR Uniform Services, Retail, and Laundry. This is a winter-seasonal position.  The Supervisor supports the Uniform Manager on the opposite side of the week.  The is a 40-hour work week position that consists of five 8-hour days or four 10 hour days, fluctuating based on how busy the operation is. Will need to know all aspects of Uniform Services to be able to run operations smoothly in the absence of the Manager.  Comes with a locker, personal storage space, and an opportunity for ski/ride breaks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Uniforms: Knowing all aspects of Uniforms; what is issued to resort work groups, grouping, and organizing uniforms, end-of-season uniform laundry, counting uniform inventory, loss prevention, prepping uniform donations, mending, and making sure all hanging inventory is suitable for issuing. Ensures security of the Uniform Services Department and protects its assets. Make sure Uniform area is kept clean, neat, and tidy.

Uniform Data: Supervisor is required to input correct detailed data into our computer system, checking for accuracy, based on issuing 1000 plus employees in the winter season and 700 plus employees in the summer season.

Retail Management and Inventory: The supervisor is responsible for knowing the point of sales system used and proper money handling, ordering, receiving, and shipping, organizing, and maintaining merchandise, tracking retail inventory, and loss prevention.

Winter Season Night Laundry Management and Supplies: Supervisor will need to know all aspects of night laundry operations, securing staff, helping with training, monitoring work progress, and performance evaluation of staff. Will need to learn how washers and dryers perform and troubleshoot any issues and who to contact for services.  Ensures all safety aspects are being followed. Supervisor will manage the schedule of night laundry staff, and place orders to Manager of any needed laundry supplies. Make sure laundry area is kept clean, neat, and tidy. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisor will be responsible for the training of all staff, motivating and directing the team on various projects, performance reviews, and enforcing disciplinary actions of seasonal day/night attendants in all aspects of Uniform Services listed above.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position does have physical demands

  • Most work tasks are performed indoors- the temperature is moderate and controlled by environmental systems.
  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to an average shift of 8 hours.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach different floors of the building on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks.
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
  • Vision occurs continuously with the most common visual functions being those of near vision and depth perception.
  • Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment and products.
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment including but not limited to non-slip shoes, protective eye wear, and protective gloves.
  • Must be able to climb stair ladders.
  • Must be able to lift, move and unpack large quantities of boxes.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSING:

High school graduate or above.  Guest service, retail experience, computer skills a must, sewing skills helpful.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resort's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts' total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

hourly pay range:  $21-$23

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Fun and pleasant atmosphere in a warehouse that stores uniforms, has a laundry room, and retail operations. The warehouse is well light with a break area and coffee/tea station.
