Job Summary

The SAP Functional Lead will serve as the primary liaison between the business and the managed services partner (Accenture) for all SAP functional areas (excluding Security and Basis). This role requires strong expertise in SAP processes, fit-gap analysis, and impact assessment to ensure business requirements are accurately captured and translated into effective solutions. The individual will lead high-level business discussions, validate requirements, and oversee solution delivery in collaboration with the managed services team.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for all SAP functional modules across Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Procurement, and related areas.
• Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and assess overall system impact.
• Translate business needs into high-level functional specifications before handing over to Accenture for detailed design and configuration.
• Review and validate functional designs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and SAP best practices.
• Coordinate with Accenture and internal teams to manage change requests, enhancements, and incident resolutions.
• Oversee testing activities (UAT, integration testing) and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Provide guidance on SAP roadmap, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Maintain strong governance and documentation for all functional changes.
• Support audit and compliance requirements related to SAP processes.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• 8+ years of SAP experience, with strong background in SAP FICO and exposure to other modules (MM, SD, PP, etc.).
• Proven experience in fit-gap analysis, impact assessment, and solution validation.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP processes and integration points.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with managed services or outsourcing partners (e.g., Accenture) is highly desirable.
• Ability to lead cross-functional discussions and influence decision-making at senior levels.

 

Preferred Skills

• Project management experience in SAP implementations or rollouts.
• Knowledge of governance frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery models.
