About this role:
The Sr. Technical Service Account Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality technical solutions that are aligned with customer requirements. Acting as a technical advisor, the Sr. Technical Service Account Manager identifies growth opportunities, supports product customization, and builds trusted partnerships. The candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, experience with running and reporting science-based trials, and be open to working in a fast-paced environment with multiple customers across a range of Consumer & Industrial applications. Contribution is measured through quality growth in the technical project pipeline and conversion of technical opportunities to new business.
This role can be US Home Based. Preference for EST or CST location.
Accountabilities:
Serve as a technical expert for the assigned accounts, understanding client needs to develop product solutions and applications that align with specifications and performance requirements.
Work collaboratively with other Sales & Marketing teams to integrate technical solutions with client goals and expectations.
Supervise the resolution of complex technical inquiries, providing specialist knowledge, liaising with relevant Innovation & R&D teams and supporting team members as needed.
Contribute to Consumer & Industrial Segment planning by identifying patterns in client needs and market trends and proposing Technical Service enhancements to maintain a competitive edge.
Proactively identify opportunities for product or service upsell, leveraging comprehensive technical knowledge to illustrate the value of enhanced or additional offerings.
Support the sales process by contributing to customized sales strategies within the team, based on technical understanding and client requirements. Be the trusted partner of Sales Partners (Sales Manager or Account Manager) and collaborate intensely to drive growth and unlock significant value year over year.

Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in sciences (chemistry, biology, biochem, etc...) and 5+ yrs of technical service experience ideally in consumer products.
Support the sales process by contributing to customized sales strategies within the team, based on technical understanding and client requirements. Be the trusted partner of Sales Partners (Sales Manager or Account Manager) and collaborate intensely to drive growth and unlock significant value year over year.
Understanding of various Consumer & Industrial applications (Pharma, Fire Fighting Foam, AgChem, Construction, Consumer Products etc.) and ingredient functionality required.
Experience in writing Scientific based reports or Science based project summaries
Willingness to travel up to 50% (car and/or air)
Largely able to operate independently, though may seek guidance on atypical or complex Technical Service issues. Able to connect with customer’s technical teams and drive opportunity pipeline.
Frequently conducts detailed analysis and investigation to identify customized solutions for customers, determine best options, or suggest improvements to existing methods.
Strong understanding of the policies, objectives, operations and related activities within Technical Service Consumer & Industrial. Specialist knowledge in relationship management, sales and a key technical/scientific discipline within Technical Service, and broad knowledge of several related disciplines.
Strong communication skills to persuade and influence stakeholders. The role needs to adapt styles, interpret and explain information to different audiences from inside and outside the organization who are not familiar with the subject matter.
Resolve customer issues that are complex or unusual requiring original thought, research, new approaches and analytical techniques.
Provides guidance on applying existing principles and contributes insights to the development of new policies and strategies.

Tate & Lyle complies with all local/state regulations requiring salary range transparency. When determining final compensation, we take into consideration: skillset, job scope, knowledge, prior experience, cost of living, market data, budget availability, and other factors as permitted by law.
The salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $132,000.
