Position Summary

Responsible for the general maintenance and troubleshooting of the facility's terminals, computers, monitors, printers/copiers, Radio Frequency (RF) handheld devices and telephones. Responsibilities also entail knowledge in preventative maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guidelines, work requests documentation, spare parts procurement, and inventory control of assets mentioned above.

**This is a first shift position, working hours are 07:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Ability to flex schedule for coverage of any shift.  Ability to work OT as required, including Saturday and Sunday.**


Primary Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and train others on new software, systems, or additions to CVS operations.
  • Perform assigned preventive maintenance of all electronic systems and components.
  • Read, comprehend, and interpret technical reference manuals.
  • Maintain all service provisions for both DCs (WDC & NSDC).
  • Maintain a monthly calendar in our Data Room SharePoint site on all routine maintenance within our DCs.
  • Install and/or modify existing images for different RF devices.
  • Interact professionally with outside vendors, Management, and Corporate.
  • Do a scheduled Plan Maintenance on TCA cabinets, and other DC IT assets.
  • Meet department deadlines. Maintain follow up and follow through.
  • Answer calls and pages professionally and courteously. Complete requests in a timely manner.
  • Keep manager informed on a timely basis.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of professional experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity working in a MDF (Main Data Frame) and IDF (Intermediate Data Frame) rooms.
  • Intermediate computer components knowledge.
  • Familiarity with different Internet browsers such as Chrome, Edge.
  • Ability to set up and configure computers, including mapping of shared drives, installing printers, and setting up desktop shortcuts.
  • Familiarity with MS Office 365 applications.
  • Ability to learn quickly and be able to troubleshoot and adapt to a variety of technical situations.
  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to train and learn all processes and procedures in the Data Room, and any other function deemed necessary in the Department.
  • Willingness to attend classes or training in computer software/hardware.
  • Ability to learn the Dematic conveyor system software (Warehouse Control Systems) and troubleshoot.
  • Working knowledge of MS Access database.
  • You should be comfortable working in a warehouse environment, which includes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment, and conveyors.
  • Willingness and ability to learn new software, testing procedures, systems and/or requirements deployed in our DC Operations.
  • Ability to converse and relay technical information via e-mail.
  • Familiarize with the Dematic (WCS), Rx Reddwerks Pick To Light (PTL), warehouse Management System (WMS), and Cognos Reporting functions.
  • Ability to train and become proficient in running the Data Room, Billing, dropping bombs, update workload, handling RUSH orders and printing work for the warehouse.
  • Flexibility to cover other shifts as needed for IT and / or Data Room requests.
  • Physical Demands: This position has an occasionally-medium heavy lifting requirement of 1 – 20 lbs., 32% of time.  Occasional very heavy lifting requirement of up to 75 lbs., 32% of time. Other physical activities include walking, standing, climbing (32%).

Education

Verifiable High School diploma or GED or IT certification

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$18.50 - $38.82

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
