Project Role Description : Leads a team of quality engineers through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Applies business and functional knowledge to develop end-to-end testing strategies through the use of quality processes and methodologies. Applies testing methodologies, principles and processes to define and implement key metrics to manage and assess the testing process including test execution and defect resolution.

Summary:
As a Quality Engineering Lead, a typical day involves guiding a team of quality engineers by coordinating multi-disciplinary planning and integrating various ecosystem components to enhance delivery speed and ensure high-quality standards throughout the application lifecycle. The role requires applying comprehensive business and functional insights to design and implement thorough testing strategies. This includes overseeing the testing process from start to finish, managing key performance indicators, and ensuring effective defect resolution to maintain the integrity and reliability of software products. Collaboration and strategic oversight are central to driving continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team and across related functions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between cross-functional teams to align quality objectives with project goals.
- Mentor and support team members to foster professional growth and enhance overall team capabilities.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions proactively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing processes and increase efficiency.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Java Enterprise Edition.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and quality assurance best practices.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools relevant to enterprise applications.
- Ability to design and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies.
- Familiarity with defect tracking and test management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and resolution.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Java Enterprise Edition.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
